Dr. Ivan Colón, DDS
Dr. Colón graduated from Southern Adventist University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. He then attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS. degree. Dr. Colón’s family – originally from New York and Massachusetts – has lived in Africa, Russia, France, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Michigan. In 2013, Dr. Colón joined the Kailua Dental Care family after he and his wife, a physician assistant, decided to make the move to Hawaii and start a family in Kailua. Prior to moving to the islands, Dr. Colón was a clinical instructor in fixed prosthodontics at LLUSD.
He is a member and Secretrary of the Honolulu County Dental Society, and a member of the Hawaii Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. In his free time he enjoys hiking, surfing, and landscape photography.
Dr. Simmons earned his Bachelor of Science degree from UC Santa Barbara in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He then attended University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco where he graduated with High Honors, earning membership in TKO honors society and OKU honors society.
Dr. Simmons is a member of the Hawaii Dental Association and the American Dental Association and enjoys surfing, hiking, cycling, and golfing in his free time.
Dr. Lau earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Seattle University. She worked as a dental assistant in a pediatric dental office before attending and earning her DDS degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She left her home state of Washington to follow her fiance back to Hawai’i and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through NYU Langone at Waimanalo Health Center.
Dr. Lau is highly involved in the Hawaii Dental Association, and is a member of the Honolulu County Dental Society and American Dental Association. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, cooking and baking.
Dr. Spencer Schiappa, DDS
Dr. Schiappa was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Determined to leave cold weather behind for good, he moved to Oahu in 2022 and has been serving the great people of Hawaii since. When he's not practicing dentistry, Dr. Schiappa enjoys hiking, physical fitness, and photography. He loves the outdoors and considers himself extremely lucky to be able to call Hawaii home.
